Who We Are |
![]() We are committed...to the vision of our church as a dynamic learning community open to the Word, the Holy Spirit, and to one another. We believe that God is a missionary God who calls us together as the Body of Christ and sends us into the world as a Christian family of faith, hope and love. (from our Missional Strategy) In 1931, The Rev. Okumura...and Architect Hego Fuchino embarked to build a church to resemble Kochi Castle as a symbol of protection and peace. The two golden dolphins atop the castle tower were Christian symbols used in feudal Japan just as the fish was used as a symbol of Christianiity during the days of the Holy Roman Empire. We are part of the Hawaii Conference
